Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Take the next step in your healthcare career by contributing your skills to a dynamic surgical environment. This contract role calls for experienced professionals who are passionate about patient care and surgical excellence.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience as a Surgical Technologist (Certified or Non-Certified) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) In-depth understanding of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and operating room best practices Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs throughout operative procedures Excellent organizational and communication abilities Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification strongly preferred Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety and infection control
Schedule:
Full-time, contract position Shift details will be discussed during the interview process
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and necessary supplies for each case Assist surgeons and nurses during operations, ensuring instruments and materials are readily available Maintain a sterile environment before, during, and after procedures, adhering strictly to infection control standards Monitor and manage surgical instruments, tracking inventory and supporting replenishment as needed Collaborate with perioperative nurses and anesthesia providers to optimize patient care and workflow efficiency Safely handle specimens and support post-operative clean-up and equipment care
