Operating Room (OR) Join Our Surgical Team! We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist I to join a fast-paced Operating Room (OR) team in Bakersfield, California . If you have experience maintaining sterile technique, assisting surgeons during procedures, and supporting patient safety throughout the surgical process, we'd love to hear from you. This travel opportunity offers consistent hours, a collaborative surgical environment, and the potential for contract extension. Pre-Operative Responsibilities Verify patient identity, surgical procedure, and consent documentation. Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment. Perform surgical scrub, sterile gowning, and gloving. Establish and maintain the sterile field. Complete initial instrument, sponge, and sharps counts with the circulating RN. Assist with patient positioning, surgical draping, and Time-Out procedures. Secure sterile tubing, cords, and accessories. Post-Operative Responsibilities Apply sterile dressings following wound closure. Assist with operating room turnover and cleaning. Return instruments and supplies according to department procedures. Maintain accurate procedure documentation. Assist with patient transfer to the recovery unit. Promote patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical experience.
