• 1,200 weekly) depending on experience Position Overview A respected facility is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented OR Tech / Surgical Tech for a 13-week contract assignment.

The Surgical Tech will assist surgeons, nurses, and the surgical team in maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment while supporting a variety of surgical procedures. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms, instruments, surgical equipment, and sterile supplies before procedures Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile technique Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are properly sterilized and available Monitor and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transport as needed Perform accurate instrument and sponge counts according to facility protocols Support turnover and cleaning of operating rooms between procedures Float to SPD and Endoscopy departments when required

ASAP 10 Operating Rooms Separate weekend shift coverage available Floating required to SPD and ENDO departments Requirements Active California Surgical Tech certification/license required (if applicable by facility policy) Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required Experience in Medical-Surgical, MS/Telemetry, ICU, and some ER exposure required Strong knowledge of sterile processing and surgical procedures Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Traveler Guidelines First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of experience Candidates with less than 2 years of experience and no travel experience may require additional screening Pending California license not accepted
