Surgical Technologist for Vascular Lab

• Spanish Bilingual Vascular Specialists Job Category Healthcare Overview Description Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing the operating room for surgery, including setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical procedure
• Hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon during the procedure
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout the surgical procedure to prevent infections
• Monitor and document patient vital signs during surgery
• Assist with positioning and transferring patients before and after surgery
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies for future procedures
• Clean and restock the operating room after each surgery

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Surgical Technician program preferred
• Certification as a Surgical Technician (CST) is a plus
• Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, such as Epic, for documentation purposes
• Ability to analyze situations and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
• Experience working in critical care areas, such as the ICU, is highly desirable
• Proficient in handling surgical instruments, including sutures and other specialized tools
