Job Description
Full job description Certified Surgical Technologist for a plastic surgery practice in Pasadena. This is a part-time opportunity, and your hours will be anywhere from 8-32 hours per week. The workplace is a fast-paced, team-focused environment. Responsibilities Prepares surgical suite, supplies, and equipment to ensure environmental safety and infection control for personnel and patients Selects and prepares necessary supplies and equipment for each surgical procedure Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures Sets up of surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions Assist the surgeon during surgery Assemble both sterile and non-sterile equipment, as well as adjust and check it to ensure it is working properly Observe patients' vital signs, check charts, and assist the surgical team with putting on sterile gowns and gloves Assist nurses and staff with patient care Provide additional support to the team as needed Clean and prep OR for the next surgery Prepare patient for surgery Transport patient to recover after surgical procedures Suture removal for follow-up patients Front desk duties when not assisting in surgery, such as phones and helping with scheduling appointments.
