Surgical Tech - Santa Monica Main OR UCLA Health - 4.1 Santa Monica, CA Job Details 15 hours ago Qualifications BLS Certification Full Job Description Description Take on a prominent position in the Operating Room. Incumbent will perform duties as a surgical technician including support and facilitation of surgical procedures by ensuring a sterile environment and assisting the surgical team. This role involves the preparation and handling of surgical instruments and equipment, adherence to established protocols, and collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff. Additionally, the surgical technician is expected to participate in ongoing training sessions, contribute to team discussions, and uphold the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct. Qualifications We are seeking a highly skilled, self-starter with: BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required. Two Years of surgical technician experience preferred.
NBSTA CST
Certification preferred. Proficiency in maintaining and establishing a sterile field during surgical procedures. Ability to set up and organize surgical trays and equipment according to our standard setup. Skills in the correct handling, preparation, and passing of surgical instruments and equipment. Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures. Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and the proper use and care of surgical instruments and equipment. Ability to recognize and respond promptly to any breaches in sterility or potential complications during surgery. Skills in effectively collaborating with surgical team members, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
