Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team. In this vital role, you will assist surgeons during operative procedures by preparing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring that all surgical supplies and equipment are ready and functioning properly. Your expertise will contribute to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care across a variety of surgical specialties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with specialties including: occuloplastics, ENT, pain, plastics, podiatry, ortho, etc. Where precision, teamwork, and clinical excellence are paramount. Responsibilities Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to procedure requirements, ensuring all items are sterile and ready for use. Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies swiftly and accurately while maintaining strict aseptic technique. Ensure infection control protocols are adhered to rigorously to prevent contamination or infection risks. Assist with patient positioning and support patient care before, during, and after surgery in collaboration with nursing staff. Support data collection efforts related to surgical outcomes or quality improvement initiatives as needed. Maintain a clean and organized sterile environment throughout procedures while complying with facility policies on infection prevention. Experience Demonstrated ability to perform aseptic techniques accurately while assisting in diverse surgical procedures across multiple specialties. Familiarity with operating room procedures involving instrumentation handling, patient positioning, and anatomy comprehension. Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization processes essential for maintaining a safe surgical environment.
Pay:
$25.00 - $36.00 per hour
