Two days/week surgical technician/sterile processor 2416 Lynndale Road, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034 $25
- $27 an hour

PRN Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Technician to join our team. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the successful outcomes of our patients. This is Tuesday and Wednesday only position located in an ambulatory setting on Amelia Island that specializes in Ophthalmology.Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
- Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery
- Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures
- Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout surgical procedures
- Assist with dressing application
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Document patient information and other relevant data accurately
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Surgical Technician or completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- One year of surgical tech experience preferred not mandatory
- Strong ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
