1 Description American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Surgical Tech for a 13-week travel contract at a Level 1 Trauma, academic teaching hospital with a full-service OR department including cardiovascular surgery. Details Large hospital OR department with 20 operating rooms and 2 cystoscopy suites in a 637-licensed-bed facility Patient population includes cardiovascular (open heart surgery, valve replacement, vascular surgery), general surgery (GYN, plastics, ENT, robotics, colorectal), orthopedics (joint replacement, sports medicine, orthopedic trauma), ortho spine, and neurosurgery (spine and brain tumor removal) 10-hour day shifts, 7am-5pm, 40 hours per week On-call required approximately 6-9 shifts per month Holiday call coverage required No floating to other units required
EMR:
Epic Optime (Intraop) Requirements Minimum 2 years of general OR experience required; minimum 5 years of CVOR experience preferred BLS certification required Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program required CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification preferred Epic EMR experience preferred Active license required if applicable Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on experience Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must be separated for at least 1 year before being eligible 1-week facility orientation provided Scrubs provided via surgical green scrub exchange system Free parking available near the facility; covered parking deck available for a nominal fee per pay period Level 1 Trauma designation and teaching hospital environment Team culture emphasizes collaboration, inclusion, and patient safety
