Work Schedule:
3 12s, Wednesday Thursday Friday. No weekday call, just weekend day call (7a-3p), no overnight call. Prepare the operating room by gathering and verifying surgical instruments, equipment, supplies, medications, and sterile solutions required for each procedure. Maintain a sterile surgical environment by scrubbing, gowning, gloving, draping, and consistently adhering to sterile technique throughout the procedure. Support the surgical team by anticipating surgeon needs, passing instruments and supplies, assisting with patient positioning, and responding effectively during procedures. Ensure patient safety and compliance by performing required surgical counts, accurately handling surgical specimens, and responding appropriately to emergency situations. Turn over operating rooms efficiently by preparing sterile dressings, cleaning and preparing instruments for sterilization, and assisting with terminal room cleaning between cases.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care which addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety age appropriate needs of the patient populations served within the department. [Required]

- Completion of validation skills [Required]
- Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up [Required]
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques [Required]
Education:
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:
Graduate of Surgical Technology Program Work Experience:
- 1+ prior or experience [Preferred]
Additional Information:
N/A Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Preferred]
