Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- + Current enrollment in a Surgical Technologist program + Must be within the last 6 months of the Surgical Tech program in order to be considered. (If you are enrolled in a Surgical Tech program but will not graduate within 6 months you will be added to a "future pool"
Hours:
- + This is a non-working position available to student currently enrolled in a Surgical Tech program + Will agree to work for MercyOne at least 18-months as a full-time Surgical Tech (CST) post completion of their Surgical Tech program
Position Purpose:
- The surgical technologist, using the principles of medical asepsis, prepares the operating room for surgical cases of all specialties and instruments the surgical procedures anticipating the needs of the surgeon. The surgical technologist provides care within the MercyOne North Iowa Standards of Care, AORN Standards of Care and Practice and the Operating Room Policies and Procedures.
