Shift:
7p-7:30am, every 3rd weekend and every other holiday; 36 hours/week Under the direction of a licensed professional, the Patient Care Technician delivers hands-on patient care and comfort, assists with clinical procedures and technical tasks, and accurately observes, reports, and documents patient status. The role supports safe, efficient unit operations by focusing on personal care, mobility, nutrition, hydration, elimination, and prevention of complications, while preparing patients and environments for procedures. Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, the PCT provides compassionate, patient- and family-centered support across diverse care settings to promote quality outcomes and a positive experience. Responsibilities:
PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN. Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients. Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service. Team members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment.
Qualifications:
License(s)/Certification(s): CNA certification preferred Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
Other:
Must be 16 years old or older Level 3
Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
