Surgical Tech:
Responsibilities Assist with the care of patients preoperative, intraoperatively, and postoperatively by performing routine and delegated duties according to the standards of the department and hospital practice and policies. Responsible for the preparation, disbursement of surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation - pre, intra, and post-operatively. Demonstrates knowledge of principles of asepsis. Demonstrates knowledge of the standards of AORN guidelines. Assumes responsibility for clinical competence and professional development. Participates in the responsible management of all departmental resources. Takes calls as required by the department. Maintains competencies in the main OR as well as the CVOR.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
Graduated from an accredited Surgical Tech program or Certified Surgical Technologist BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
