What You'll Do:
Prepare operating rooms, instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures. Assist physicians and nursing staff during a variety of surgical procedures. Maintain sterile technique and an aseptic environment throughout procedures. Support patient preparation, transportation, and post-procedure care activities. Handle specimens and ensure timely transport to appropriate departments. Monitor inventory, restock supplies, and troubleshoot equipment issues. Assist with patient comfort, safety, and quality care initiatives. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, students, and fellow team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and departmental projects.
Qualifications:
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited School of Operating Room Technology or Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required. Experience
  • One year of Surgical Technologist or LPN experience preferred, but motivated candidates are encouraged to apply. Certifications
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of hire.
Illinois LPN License required for LPN candidates.
Compensation:
Hourly Range
