Key Qualifications:

Current certification as a Surgical Tech (CST) ORT (Operating Room Technician) nursing skills Experience in perioperative or surgical settings preferred Demonstrated ability to apply aseptic techniques and maintain a sterile environment Adaptability to provide age-specific care, especially for obstetrical patients Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as the first, second, or assisting Surgical Tech under RN supervision during the intraoperative period Apply aseptic principles consistently to maintain a sterile field Assist with the organization and coordination of surgical supplies and equipment Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, following legal and safety standards Track and charge for used supplies and equipment Participate in operating room turnover, set-up, and cleaning Perform sterilization and disinfection duties according to policy and document appropriately
