Schedule:

Day shifts, 5 days per week with 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as an integral member of the perioperative team, providing direct support during surgical procedures under Registered Nurse supervision. Consistently apply the principles of asepsis to maintain a sterile environment. Demonstrate proficiency in essential technical and psychomotor skills, making sound clinical judgments. Deliver age-specific care to obstetrical patients, adhering to departmental standards and protocols. Organize and coordinate necessary supplies and equipment for efficient departmental operations. Ensure consistent patient, coworker, and personal safety, strictly following unit and hospital safety policies. Accurately charge for equipment and consumables used during procedures. Participate actively in room turnover, procedure set-up, and thorough equipment cleaning and maintenance. Diligently perform sterilization and disinfection processes, properly documenting each load as required.

Qualifications:

Certified Surgical Technician credentials required Previous experience in a nursing or ORT setting Solid understanding of aseptic technique and perioperative practices Exceptional organizational and communication skills Ability to responsibly manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
