Required (30-minute response time) About the Role MedOp Solutions is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a travel assignment at a busy orthopedic specialty hospital in Skokie, Illinois. This position is ideal for an experienced surgical technologist who thrives in a high-volume orthopedic operating room and is comfortable assisting with complex spine and robotic orthopedic procedures. The ideal candidate will have extensive orthopedic experience, including spine cases involving pedicle screws and ACDF procedures, and be confident working in a fast-paced surgical environment. Facility Overview 111-bed orthopedic and spine specialty hospital 20 Operating Rooms (typically 17-18 rooms in daily operation) High-volume orthopedic and spine surgical program Advanced robotic-assisted surgery program Surgical Specialties General Surgery Hand Surgery Foot & Ankle Sports Medicine Total Joint Replacement Orthopedic Spine Surgery Robotic-Assisted Procedures Technology & Equipment Mako Robotic System ROSA Robotic System CORI Robotic System Advanced orthopedic and spine instrumentation Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms for orthopedic and spine procedures Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures Scrub and assist surgeons during complex orthopedic surgeries Anticipate surgical needs and efficiently manage instrumentation Assist with robotic-assisted orthopedic procedures Handle specialized spine instrumentation, including pedicle screw systems and ACDF cases Ensure proper instrument counts and patient safety throughout procedures Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience required Extensive orthopedic surgical experience required Required spine experience , including: Pedicle screw procedures ACDF (Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion) Experience with: General Surgery Hand Surgery Foot & Ankle Sports Medicine Total Joint procedures Robotic orthopedic surgery BLS certification required NBSTSA certification preferred (certification not required) Must reside within a 30-minute response time for call coverage New graduates will not be considered Orientation 10-hour non-billable orientation Scheduling & Expectations 8 or 10-hour day shifts Rotating call schedule Weekend call rotation required Holiday call rotation required 30-minute call response time required Minimum 2-hour callback guarantee No floating required Credentials due Thursday prior to start date Drug screen, CBC, and T-Spot or QuantiFERON Gold test must be completed within 90 days of the start date
