Job Description
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) assists the professional nursing staff in providing safe, compassionate, and quality care to patients on the Med/Surg Unit. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with bathing, feeding, meal trays, bed making, ambulation, intake and output (I&O), daily weights, and vital signs. The PCT accurately documents care provided in the patient's medical record and assists patients in a manner that promotes their safety, comfort, and well-being. The PCT follows instructions provided by physicians and licensed nursing staff in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care. Eligible for medical coverage on your first day of employment, all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date!
