Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Supervise and mentor junior surgical technologists and assist with their training and development, demonstrate proper techniques, reinforce sterile procedures and share best practices. Count and track sponges, needles, and tools to prevent retained items and accurate counts of all items used in the surgical procedure. Set up the operating room by sterilizing and arranging instruments, supplies, and equipment while preparing patients for surgery through proper positioning and sterile draping. Assist during surgery by passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field and anticipating the surgical team's needs while tracking instruments and sponges. Support postoperative care by applying dressings, transporting patients to recovery and cleaning and restocking the operating room. Follow strict infection control protocols ensure safe handling of specimens and maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists and sterile processing staff while communicating effectively in high-pressure situations.

Current CST certification upon hire and maintain current High School Diploma or equivalent Current BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted) upon hire and maintain current Additional Qualifications That Are a

Plus:

Graduate from a surgical technology program accredited through
