Stocking Certified Surgical Technologist Full Job Description Job Overview Title:

CVOR Surgical Tech Location:

Cambridge, MA Shift•10H Days 07:00 AM•05:30

PM Duration:

13 weeks

Travel Pay:

$2500•$2700/week

Requirements:

License Requirements:

Must be nationally certified trough NBSTSA. The facility cannot accept NCCT.

Experience Requirements:

2 years of experience. Must be able to scrub cardiac and endovascular to be submitted. Must have previous Level I experience.

Required Certs:

BLS Unit Details:

Unit sees the following types of cases: CABG, Aortic valve replacement, mitral valve repair/replacement, tricuspid valve repair/replacement, VAD, Aortic dissection

Previous Travel Requirement:

Not required

Charting:

Epic Scheduling Details:

Scheduling is based on the needs of the unit. Absolutely no block schedules can be accommodated.

Call Requirements:

1 night/week and every 6th weekend

Duties:

Prepare the operating room: Ensure the OR is clean, stocked, and set up with all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.

Sterilize equipment:

Sterilize and arrange specialized instruments and equipment, and ensure they are in good working order.

Patient preparation:

Transport the patient, prepare the surgical site, and assist with patient positioning.

Anticipate needs:

Organize supplies and ensure the surgeon's preferences are accurately reflected.

Assist the surgical team:

Pass instruments, retract tissue, and provide other direct assistance to the surgeon and the surgical team as needed.

Maintain a sterile field:

Uphold aseptic technique and strict infection control protocols throughout the procedure.
