Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a vital healthcare environment as a skilled professional, providing essential support in the operating room. This opportunity allows you to utilize your nursing or certified surgical technologist expertise to assist surgical teams and ensure excellent patient care throughout perioperative procedures.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (Certified Surgical Tech) or applicable Nursing degree with ORT experience Previous experience in an operating room setting, supporting surgical interventions Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, equipment sterilization, and operating room safety protocols Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start) Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team Detail-oriented, adaptable under pressure, and able to respond quickly to changing needs in a surgical environment
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain operating rooms, ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and set up before procedures Assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers during operations by handing instruments and supplies Monitor and maintain sterile fields throughout surgeries Inventory, track, and restock used instruments and surgical supplies Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in compliance with facility protocols Participate in pre- and post-operative processes, supporting patient safety and comfort Collaborate with surgical staff to anticipate needs and provide seamless support during all phases of surgical care Working in this dynamic role means contributing directly to positive patient outcomes and supporting intricate surgical procedures.
