Surgical Technologist Kristin Lederer Consulting Waltham, MA Job Details Full-time $35 - $51 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications OR experience Certified Surgical Technologist Orthopedics Full Job Description Overview We're partnering with an orthopedic focused surgery center in the greater Boston area to help them identify the top Certified Surgical Technologists for a full time (4x10s) , NO call, permanent, full time opportunity. •Orthopedic focused ASC •Day shift, No call, No weekends, No major holidays Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly before procedures begin Assist surgical teams by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies during surgeries with accuracy and efficiency Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols throughout all phases of surgery Monitor and anticipate the needs of surgeons and anesthesia staff to facilitate smooth procedural flow Count and document surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies to prevent retained items post-operation Support patient safety by verifying patient identity, surgical site, and procedure details prior to incision Assist with post-operative cleanup, sterilization of instruments, and restocking of supplies for upcoming surgeries Experience Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is required A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist in an operating room is required Orthopedics experience is highly preferred Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals This role offers an engaging opportunity for motivated individuals passionate about surgical care.
