Job Description

You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client is seeking a skilled, adaptable, and proactive Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with strong specialty experience in Orthopedics to join a fast-growing, physician-owned Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will work in a collaborative environment ensuring seamless surgical setup, execution, and clinic efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Surgical Scrub Duties:
Prepare operating rooms and scrub in for orthopedic surgical procedures, including Sports Medicine, Hand Cases, and Total Joint Replacements.
Vendor & Equipment Preparation:
Coordinate and manage diverse vendor sets and instrumentation for total joint and sports medicine cases.
Preference Cards:
Work hand-in-hand with the OR Lead Nurse to build, refine, and verify preference cards for incoming surgeon partners.
Room Turnovers & Inventory:
Perform room turnovers, cleaning, and restocking between cases.
Downtime Productivity:
Assist with room prep, inventory auditing, preference card management, and establishing SOPs for the facility. Qualifications Active CST License 2 years of experience in Ambulatory Surgery At least 1 year of experience in Orthopedics (Hand, Joint, Sports Medicine) Orthopedics experience highly preferred (Sports Med, Joint, Hand, Podiatry) Schedule 40 hours per week Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm Tues-Wed may end at 12pm depending on scheduled cases Start Date ASAP Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances). Eligibility for health benefits is based on verifying that an average of 30 hours per week during the first 4 weeks of the work assignment has been met. If you meet eligibility requirements and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s)). 401k (Eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1).
