Job Description

Tech CVOR Job TitleCVOR Surgical TechnologistLocationSilver Spring, MDSchedule / Job TypeContract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 4x10-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM) | Monday through Friday with rotating on-call obligationsKey Responsibilities
  • Perform scrub technologist duties in a cardiovascular operating room environment, supporting adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
  • Assist surgical teams during general, neuro, and cardiovascular surgical cases in a 12-OR acute care hospital setting
  • Fulfill on-call requirements of 2-3 calls per week and at least one weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday, 24-hour availability)
  • Utilize Cerner for electronic charting and documentation in accordance with facility protocols
  • Complete required orientation modules through the facility's learning management system as part of onboarding Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience; first-time travelers not accepted
  • Active Maryland state license or Compact license — must be active and in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
  • BLS certification required — current expiration date must be included at submission
  • Demonstrated scrub experience in the operating room
  • Must be nicotine-free; facility maintains a strict no-tobacco policy and screens for nicotine and cotinine
  • Availability to work weekends and fulfill on-call obligations as required Preferred Experience / Skills
  • NBSTSA national certification strongly preferred
  • Prior cardiovascular surgical technologist experience highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system Why Join Us
