Summary:

Pen Bay Hospital operates 3 busy operating rooms, and averages 300 cases per month. Cases include general surgery, GYN, urology, ENT, eye surgery and orthopedics. The Surgical Technologist role assists the surgeon and Operating Room (OR) RN during surgical procedures. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education:

Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology required.

License/Certifications:

Current BCLS and certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required within 6 months of start date. Positions located in Hampshire are required to have a Hampshire Med Tech License or NH EMT License with National Registry Certification.

Experience:

One year of experience preferred.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
