Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract As a Certified Surgical Technologist (ORT), you'll play a vital role in supporting surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, ensuring a sterile environment, and assisting during procedures. This contract opportunity is ideal for candidates who are passionate about patient care, excel at teamwork, and thrive in fast-paced surgical settings.
Key Qualifications:
Active certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required Demonstrated experience as an ORT or in an Operating Room environment Strong knowledge of surgical aseptic technique and infection control practices Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to anticipate surgical team needs, respond quickly in high-pressure situations, and adapt to changing demands
Role Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain operating rooms for surgery, including setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies Assist surgeons and nursing staff by passing instruments and supplies during procedures Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures to ensure accurate inventory Maintain a sterile field and adhere strictly to infection control procedures Handle specimens properly and document with accuracy Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to support optimal patient outcomes

The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
