Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic surgical environment and play a pivotal role as a Certified Surgical Technologist. In this contract position, you'll collaborate closely with nurses and the surgical team, ensuring that every instrument, supply, and piece of equipment is ready and accessible for safe and efficient surgical procedures. Your keen anticipation of surgical team needs and commitment to patient care and safety will be highly valued in this rewarding role.
Schedule:
3 x 12-hour shifts: 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Call required once per week and every 6th weekend Contract duration: 13 weeks, with potential extension
Essential Qualifications:
Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience in an operating room setting BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) High school diploma or GED equivalent Previous travel contract experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and pass surgical instruments and other supplies as needed during procedures Maintain an organized sterile field before and during surgeries Support team members in anticipating and responding to procedural needs Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and transportation Provide general service support and assist with safety and comfort measures for patients Respond swiftly and competently to emergent situations according to established protocols Become a valued resource for a talented surgical team while expanding your skills and making a meaningful impact.
