Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Advance your career as a skilled professional assisting in the operating room at a well-respected healthcare facility. This contract opportunity is open to certified Surgical Technologists with proven operating room tech (ORT) and nursing experience.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) Previous hands-on experience working as an ORT and/or in surgical nursing support Comprehensive knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and safety protocols Ability to thrive in fast-paced surgical environments and support both surgeons and medical teams Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care excellence Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Schedule:
Contract position; specific hours will be discussed during the interview
Primary Responsibilities:
Set up operating rooms with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies before procedures Assist surgeons during operations by providing instruments and anticipating needs Maintain strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques while monitoring patient safety Prepare and manage surgical specimens for laboratory analysis Collaborate with the perioperative care team for optimal patient outcomes Ensure all surgical equipment is counted, documented, cleaned, and restocked post-procedure
