Job Description
SUMMARY:
Under the direction of a licensed professional nurse, assist in the delivery of direct primary care to the patient experiencing elective or emergency surgical intervention. Primary function is to assist with surgical procedures.EXPERIENCE
OR Tech, one to two years or position related experience.SPECIAL SKILLS
Knowledge of aseptic technique, broad range of instrumentation and sterilization processing.OTHER:
Basic computer skills.LICENSE/CERT
Required:
BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association)Preferred:
CST (Certified Surgical Technologist)EDUCATION
