Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Scrub Technician to join our healthcare team. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing and maintaining sterile equipment, instruments, and supplies during surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of surgical techniques and procedures and be able to anticipate the needs of the surgeon while ensuring a safe and sterile operating environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms with the necessary surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies. Establish and maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures. Assist surgeons, nurses, and other surgical team members during operations. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and provide instruments and supplies as required. Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment. Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies. Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies and procedures. Document patient and procedure information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program recognized by: Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), OR certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. 3-5 years of Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech experience required. Proficiency in medical terminology. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Pay:
$56.00 - $58.33 per hour
