Duration:

13 Weeks Guaranteed hours: 40 Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all necessary equipment is functional and ready for procedures. Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies in a timely manner. Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation related to surgical procedures, patient information, and intraoperative details. Support patient care activities before, during, and after surgeries, including wound care and post-operative monitoring. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient treatment plans and coordinate care delivery. Participate in behavioral interventions aimed at improving patient comfort and compliance with treatment protocols. Utilize telehealth platforms when applicable to support preoperative assessments or postoperative follow-up consultations. Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures and patient interactions. Engage in ongoing education related to hyperbaric medicine, wound management, and other specialized areas as needed. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure clarity of information and compassionate care. Experience Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is required; active certification must be maintained. Prior experience working in surgical environments across various specialties is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities to provide inclusive patient care. Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) certification and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are essential for emergency preparedness. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems used in clinical settings. Experience supporting telehealth platforms for remote consultations or follow-up care is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to surgery, wound care, hyperbaric medicine, and patient treatment planning. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically. Pay:

$2,160.87 - $2,365.44 per week
