Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Exciting contract opportunity for skilled healthcare professionals with experience in Operating Room Technology (ORT) and certification as a Surgical Technologist. This role features a structured 10-hour day shift schedule, running from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Candidates must be prepared for rotating on-call obligations, with up to 4-5 weekday/possible weekend calls per pay period, as well as rotational holiday call requirements.
Key Schedule Details:
10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) Full-time, 40 hours per week Rotating holiday and on-call coverage Weekend shifts included in rotation
Essential Skills & Experience:
Current national certification as a Surgical Technologist required Demonstrated Operating Room experience BLS certification (American Heart Association) Adaptability to float among various units and facilities within the region, as needed Ability to participate in a rotating on-call and holiday schedule Reliable, team-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced surgical environment
Role Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing operating rooms and surgical instruments Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and sterile technique Support surgeons throughout procedures by maintaining an organized and well-supplied environment Handle instruments, supplies, and medications with precision during surgical cases Participate in departmental orientation and engage in cross-facility assignments when necessary
