Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Step into a crucial support role assisting in advanced surgical procedures as a CVOR Tech, specializing in cardiovascular operating room environments. In this position, you will work with a dedicated surgical team to provide essential technical skills that keep procedures running smoothly and patients safe. This contract opportunity allows you to make a significant impact in a dynamic hospital setting, where high-quality patient care is always the top priority.
Qualifications & Experience:
Demonstrated experience as a CVOR Tech or similar role within an operating room, with a focus on cardiovascular procedures. Certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent (required). Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, operating room protocols, and CVOR equipment. Ability to assist surgeons during procedures, anticipating needs, and responding quickly in high-pressure situations. Exceptional teamwork and communication skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and prepare the CVOR for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and supplies are available and sterile. Assist surgeons and nurses throughout operations, maintaining a sterile field and passing instruments as needed. Monitor and support infection control processes. Participate in room turnover duties to maintain surgical schedules. Support post-operative clean-up and equipment sterilization.
