This opportunity is ideal for a Certified Surgical Technologist or experienced Operating Room Technician with a passion for excellence in the operating room environment on a contract basis.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or relevant Nursing ORT credentials required Solid knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and patient safety standards Previous experience assisting in operating rooms, preparing instruments, and supporting surgical teams Familiarity with sterile field maintenance and infection control protocols Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills Ability to remain focused and organized in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical setting
Responsibilities:
Prepare and arrange surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures Maintain a sterile operative field and actively anticipate the needs of surgeons during operations Assist in patient positioning, draping, and surgical site preparation Handle and account for instruments and sponges throughout surgical procedures Support perioperative care functions, including room turnover and restocking supplies Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiology professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes Uphold high standards of safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance As a valued member of the surgical team, you will play a critical role in supporting patient care and facilitating successful outcomes in the operating room.
