Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a
PER DIEM
Certified Surgical Scrub Technician, where your expertise will be vital in supporting safe and efficient surgical procedures across a variety of specialties. In this role, you will prepare the operating room, assist surgeons during procedures, and ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques. Your attention to detail and comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and infection control will contribute to optimal patient outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and surgical excellence. Duties Prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and sterile equipment prior to procedures, ensuring all items meet aseptic standards Assist surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies during surgeries with precision and efficiency Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures by adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Monitor patient vital signs and communicate any changes to the surgical team promptly Support patient care by ensuring proper positioning, comfort, and safety before and after surgery Document surgical activities accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, pediatric units (including PICU), ICU, and trauma centers to facilitate seamless surgical workflows Skills Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures Proven experience in OR settings with a focus on aseptic technique and infection control practices Ability to perform suturing and basic life support (BLS) as needed during emergencies or critical situations Strong analysis skills for monitoring vital signs and recognizing signs of patient distress or complications Familiarity with hospital systems such as Epic, EMR/EHR platforms, and medical records management Experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers, pediatric units (PICU), or ambulatory surgery centers is highly desirable Excellent patient care skills with a focus on safety, attention to detail, and teamwork in high-pressure environments such as critical care or acute care settings Orthopaedic, Ophthalmology, Plastics, and Spine experience preferred 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting preferred Join us in making a difference through dedicated surgical support! Pay:
$34.00 - $41.00 per hour
