1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital General Surgery unit, requiring BLS certification and CST or LVN/LPN licensure. Details Hospital General Surgery unit position 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Weekend and on-call requirements Floating to PMC required

used Requirements BLS certification via AHA required Certified Surgical Technologist credential or LVN/LPN license required (license required if applicable) High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of a Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program required 2+ years of experience preferred Proficiency scrubbing 3 specialty areas such as Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, or Robotics highly preferred Additional Information Assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, including skin prep and patient positioning Maintain aseptic technique and monitor for potential breaches throughout procedures Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite Establish and maintain the sterile field, passing instruments and sutures to the physician as directed Use and maintain physician preference cards when pulling cases and setting up the OR Work collaboratively as part of the surgical team under the direction of a professional nurse Maintain proper traffic control, dress code, and adherence to OR sanitation policies Identify and care for biological specimens according to hospital standards Adapt care methods to meet population-specific and developmental needs of patients served Returning employees who previously worked at any
