36 or 40 hours per week Position Overview A high-volume surgical department in Cooperstown, NY is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support a diverse operating room environment. This role requires a strong, well-rounded scrub tech who is comfortable working across multiple specialties and handling varied case types, including emergent cases while on call.

Plastics Neuro Vascular (including hybrid cases) ENT GYN Urology GI Pain Management Cardiac Thoracic Podiatry Key Responsibilities Scrub and assist in a wide variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties Prepare and maintain sterile fields and instrumentation Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure efficient procedural flow Handle a broad range of surgical instruments and equipment Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and OR staff Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and patient safety protocols Call Requirements 4-5 call shifts per month Must be flexible— any case type may present during call Equipment & Environment Exposure to a wide variety of surgical equipment and instrumentation Multiple vendor-supported service lines Fast-paced, high-acuity surgical setting Required Qualifications Recent, strong OR experience across multiple service lines (required) Must be comfortable scrubbing a wide variety of cases (not specialty-specific) Proven ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced OR environment Required Certifications & Licensure Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA — preferred OR Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program Basic Life Support (BLS) - required

New York State Requirements:

Certification is strongly preferred Must meet New York State guidelines for surgical technologists (education or certification pathway) Additional Expectations Taking call is required Must demonstrate strong adaptability due to varied case types Techs are not expected to float to other departments unless previously experienced Ideal Candidate Highly versatile with multi-specialty OR experience Strong critical thinking and anticipation skills Team-oriented with excellent communication Comfortable with unpredictable case mix, especially while on call #

$2,150.00 - $2,300.00 per week
