Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, manage, and maintain instruments, equipment, and supplies for a wide range of adult cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG's, TAVI's, VAD's, ECMO, artificial heart interventions, and heart transplants. Provide hands-on assistance to the surgical team by scrubbing during operations, maintaining strict sterile technique, and managing surgical counts per policy. Safely handle pharmacologic agents, surgical solutions, and sharps, ensuring proper care and storage as directed by nursing staff. Facilitate efficient room turnover between cases and support a safe, collaborative surgical environment for all patient age groups.

Qualifications:

NBSTSA Certification required, or 10 years' experience as a Surgical Technician. Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac operating room experience. Competency in both scrubbing and circulating in the cardiac OR. BLS certification, American Heart Association only.
