Certified Scrub Technician

Overview Join our dynamic Ambulatory Surgery Center team as a Certified Surgical Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting surgical procedures specific to Cataract procedures and Oculo-plastics. Your expertise will ensure that operating rooms are prepared, sterile, and equipped for successful surgeries. Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly Assist surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments, and managing supplies with precision and aseptic technique Ensure strict infection control protocols are followed to prevent contamination and promote patient safety Collect data related to surgical outcomes and assist in quality improvement initiatives Support patient care before, during, and after surgery by providing compassionate assistance and ensuring comfort Demonstrate thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and critical care principles relevant to surgical settings Monthly terminal cleaning of the ORs and patient care area Maintaining knowledge of current Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) standards. Experience/Qualifications Proven experience as a Scrub Technician in a hospital or Surgery Center environment, with familiarity in Ophthalmology. Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures. Recent hands-on experience with OR instrumentation, suturing techniques, and sterile field management. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
