Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract A highly skilled Nursing - ORT, First Assist Tech is needed for a contract position supporting a surgical environment for 13 weeks. This opportunity offers the chance to utilize advanced clinical knowledge and first assist expertise in a dynamic operating room setting.
Schedule:
Shift:
5x8-hour days, 7:00am - 3:30pm Specific workdays to be confirmed during the interview process
Required Qualifications:
Active Ohio nursing license Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Proven experience as a Nurse First Assist or First Assist Tech in the OR environment Exceptional hand/eye coordination and strong attention to detail Ability to competently take Second Call when assigned Expertise in advanced life support equipment In-depth understanding of human anatomy and physiology
Key Responsibilities:
Apply the nursing process throughout all aspects of the nurse first assistant role Deliver safe, effective patient care grounded in anatomical and physiological knowledge Establish and maintain a secure peri-operative setting for patients and staff Demonstrate proficiency and readiness when assigned to take Second Call Operate and maintain advanced life support and surgical equipment with precision Consistently support positive surgical outcomes through excellent clinical judgment and teamwork This position offers exposure to a supportive surgical team and the ability to work in a collaborative, patient-centered care environment.
