Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a certified Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician to an engaging environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care. This 13-week contract opportunity offers the chance to work across multiple outpatient surgery centers, providing dynamic exposure to a variety of procedures and practices.
Schedule:
Shift:
7:00am to 3:30pm Flexibility to float between outpatient surgical centers within a large health system
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (Certified Surgical Tech) or experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Prior experience in an outpatient or acute care surgical setting is preferred Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Adaptable to quickly shifting surgical environments Ability to remain calm and efficient in fast-paced situations
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms and ensure sterile environments for surgical procedures Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and anticipating needs Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies Safely handle and manage surgical specimens and equipment Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care Support pre- and post-operative patient care activities as needed Adhere to all hospital policies, infection control practices, and regulatory standards
