Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for a Surgical Technologist (Certified) or ORT with strong nursing and technical skills in a dynamic hospital setting. This contract role will run for 13 weeks and supports a level 3 trauma center, offering valuable experience in a high-acuity environment.

Schedule:

4x10 hour day shifts: 7:00am - 5:30pm Call required: Once per week (5:30pm-7:00am following regular shift) within a six-week plan Weekend call: One Saturday or Sunday every five weeks (7:00am-7:00am) Mandate call coverage required; prompt response within 30 minutes of supervisor notification

Qualifications:

Active certification as a Surgical Technologist or ORT required Demonstrated experience with orthopedic total joint, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures Strong response skills and ability to operate efficiently in a trauma setting Reliability and flexibility to participate in a rotating call schedule Ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes for call response Team-oriented mindset and commitment to providing exceptional surgical support

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room Scrub and assist in a variety of surgical cases, including orthopedic, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and the perioperative team to ensure patient safety and quality care Accurately maintain surgical instruments and equipment throughout procedures Be responsive and available for mandated calls as per outlined rotation This position provides hands-on experience in a trauma center, exposure to advanced surgical specialties, and an opportunity to deepen clinical skills within a supportive team.
