Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Advance your surgical services expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment supporting a collaborative operating room team. This opportunity seeks a dedicated professional with strong experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician to contribute to high standards of patient care during surgical procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current national certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or comparable accredited certification. Demonstrated experience as an Operating Room Technician, with knowledge of aseptic technique. Proficiency in scrubbing all basic surgical procedures; additional specialty experience is highly valued. Familiarity with surgical instruments, sterile field preparation, and safety protocols. Active BLS certification. Excellent communication skills, ability to work efficiently within fast-paced environments, and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and sterile supplies in advance of procedures. Assist surgical teams by anticipating surgeon needs and efficiently passing instruments during operations. Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control guidelines throughout procedures. Monitor, verify, and track surgical supplies, equipment, and count instruments before and after surgeries. Support operating room turnover by cleaning, restocking, and preparing for subsequent cases. Collaborate closely with nursing staff, surgeons, and anesthesia personnel to promote positive patient outcomes.
