Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract An excellent opportunity is available for a dedicated and certified Surgical Technologist or Nursing professional skilled in operating room techniques. This contract role spans 13 weeks and involves supporting outpatient surgery centers, offering a dynamic environment where adaptability and expertise are highly valued.
Schedule:
Shift:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Floating required between outpatient surgery centers within a major healthcare system
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent with operating room technology background BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Previous experience in an outpatient or surgical setting preferred Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail and adherence to sterile techniques Flexibility to float between multiple surgery center locations as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Assist surgeons and operating room staff with surgical preparations, instrumentation, and procedures Maintain a sterile field and ensure all instruments and supplies are safe and properly accounted for Support patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures as directed Facilitate communication between the surgical team and other healthcare professionals Monitor equipment function, troubleshoot minor issues, and escalate when necessary Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain compliance with facility policies
