Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in nursing or certified surgical technology to a dynamic healthcare setting where your skill in the operating room will make an immediate impact. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks and is ideally suited for professionals skilled in scrubbing orthopedic total joints, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures. You'll be a vital member of a Level 3 trauma center's surgical team, contributing to exceptional patient outcomes.
Schedule:
Four 10-hour day shifts weekly (7:00am-5:30pm) Call duties required: One call per week (5:30pm-7:00am) within each 6-week rotation Rotating weekend call every 5 weeks (Saturday or Sunday, 7:00am-7:00am) Must be able to respond onsite within 30 minutes when on call
Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Surgical Technologist or licensure as an Operating Room Technician/Nurse Recent OR experience, with strong scrubbing skills in orthopedic total joints, laparoscopy, and robotics Ability to thrive in a Level 3 trauma environment and respond promptly to urgent situations Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative surgical team Flexible for mandated call rotations and can adapt quickly during coverage changes
Responsibilities:
Assist surgical teams with preparation and support of operating rooms Directly scrub and participate during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field Support surgeons and nursing staff by anticipating needs and facilitating efficient case flow Adhere to stringent safety and infection control protocols This position offers the chance to work with advanced surgical technology and a talented, responsive surgical team in a fast-paced environment where your skills are valued and your development supported.
