Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a key clinical role supporting surgical teams as a Certified Surgical Technologist with specialized skills in Operating Room Technology. This assignment offers a 13-week contract where you'll have the opportunity to contribute directly to optimum patient outcomes alongside a collaborative medical staff.
Schedule:
5 shifts per week 8-hour shifts
Mid-shift:
11:00 am start time
Desired Qualifications:
Active certification as a Surgical Technologist (National Board or applicable certifying agency) Proficient in Operating Room Technology (ORT) and related surgical procedures Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification NTCMB credentials required Proven expertise in sterile technique, instrument handling, and patient safety practices Strong communication, teamwork skills, and adaptability to dynamic clinical environments
Primary Responsibilities:
Support surgeons and nursing staff during a variety of operative procedures, ensuring a sterile field and proper instrumentation Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment, materials, and instruments ahead of each case Monitor, maintain, and pass instruments accurately while anticipating the needs of the surgical team Assist with pre- and post-operative room turnover, including cleaning and restocking supplies Perform equipment checks, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain strict adherence to protocols Document procedures and relevant patient data clearly per institutional standards Enjoy a professionally rewarding assignment where your technical skills make an impact in a fast-paced surgical setting.
