Every Thursday and 1 Wednesday a month Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Surgical Scrub Technician, where your expertise will be vital in delivering exceptional patient care during surgical procedures. In this energized role, you will serve as a key member of the operating room team, ensuring that surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are prepared, sterilized, and ready for use. Your attention to detail and commitment to aseptic techniques will help maintain a safe and efficient surgical environment. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and organizing surgical instruments and supplies according to strict infection control protocols. Assist surgeons and surgical teams by passing instruments and managing surgical tools with precision during procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, instrument counts, and medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout surgeries to ensure optimal care and safety. Support infection prevention efforts by adhering to policies on aseptic technique and sterilization procedures for medical equipment. Demonstrate proficiency in handling medical equipment. Skills Extensive knowledge of surgical instruments, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and sterile techniques. Proven experience in data collection related to patient care metrics and surgical outcomes. Hands-on experience with medical equipment sterilization processes and infection control protocols. Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention strategies and the importance of aseptic technique.
