Job Description

Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Advance your surgical career as a skilled CVOR Technician in a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment. As a valued member of the surgical team, you will provide key support during cardiovascular operating room procedures, assisting surgeons and nurses to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals with a passion for perioperative care and a commitment to excellence.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Completion of an accredited CVOR Tech or Surgical Technologist program Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician Previous experience supporting cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures Strong knowledge of sterile technique and OR safety protocols Ability to handle high-pressure, fast-paced environments with poise Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for cardiac and vascular cases Assist surgeons and nursing staff with instrumentation and equipment during procedures Ensure strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques at all times Conduct surgical counts and maintain accurate documentation as required Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to optimize workflow and patient outcomes Clean and maintain OR instruments and equipment after procedures Support infection control and patient safety practices according to policy
