Surgical Technologist

Job Summary The Surgical Technologist will assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique and ensuring the operating room is properly prepared. The candidate will support patient care in the OR according to AORN standards, aseptic techniques, and facility policies. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments Set up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures Assist surgeons during surgical procedures as a scrub tech Perform surgical scrubbing, gowning, and gloving procedures Maintain aseptic and sterile techniques throughout procedures Handle instruments, sutures, medications, and surgical supplies appropriately Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts Assist with patient positioning, transfer, and preparation Clean and prepare surgical instruments and equipment Operate and maintain OR equipment safely Monitor and report faulty equipment or safety concerns Support OR team members and collaborate with physicians and nurses Follow infection control, safety, and hospital policies Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program required Current Surgical Technologist certification required Active BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of Surgical Tech experience required OR experience in Orthopedic, General, Vascular, and Cesarean Section procedures preferred Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation Ability to work in a fast-paced operating room environment

Pay:

$1,830.00 - $1,880.00 per week
