Job Description
Summary:
Under the direction from the professional Registered Nurse assists in providing optimal patient care in the Operating Room by organizing and preparing the sterile field, handling instruments, and may assist the surgeon under their direct supervision. Establishes positive relationships through communication development of self and fulfilling responsibilities as an employee at St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island.Education:
Graduate of Surgical Technology School or equivalent.Licensure:
CST preferredSkills and Abilities:
- Skills in organization and priority setting.
- Ability to work cooperatively with peers and other disciplines.
- Ability to utilize sound interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and taking into consideration cultural background, linguistic skills and age of customers.
